    • ABOUT CYANOTYPE

Cyanotype is one of the earliest photographic printing processes that produces a distinctive prussian-blue monochromatic print. The technique was invented by the British scientist and astronomer, Sir John Frederick William Herschel, in 1842.

With the cyanotype technique, you can create:
      • Photograms from botanical specimens or
      any object you fancy
      • Contact prints from a photographic (or digitally created) negative
You can also mix these two techniques.

Cyanotype is an extremely forgiving photographic process, easy to do, and safe. As the emulsion is UV sensitive, you can easily make prints using sunlight. Enjoy the sunshine and capture details through light and shadow.
