Studio
Metis Practice is an architecture design firm dedicated to creating spaces that harmoniously blend aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. Named after the Greek goddess of wisdom, the firm embodies a thoughtful approach to design, emphasizing strategic insight and creative problem-solving. At Metis Practice, we believe that architecture is more than just buildings; it is the art of shaping environments that enrich lives. Our designs are rooted in a deep understanding of context, culture, and community, allowing us to create meaningful spaces that resonate with their inhabitants.

Alongside traditional architectural and interior projects, the studio is open to a diverse range of commissions, including conceptual design planning, feasibility studies, and critical design advice. With long-established industry connections, we can assemble the appropriate expert team to suit each individual project.
Research and development is embedded within the practice ethos through internships, workshops, and ongoing engagements within our projects. Driven by clear reasoning and effective design communication, the studio’s projects constantly challenge architectural convention, with a strong focus on humanity, ethical practices, and the intrinsic value of materials.

“Practice” suggests a collaborative approach, emphasizing teamwork and partnership with clients. It conveys a sense of ongoing learning and adaptation, important in the ever-evolving field of architecture. We approach each project with a collaborative mindset, engaging clients and stakeholders in every phase of development. By integrating technology and sustainable practices, we strive to deliver innovative designs that not only meet client needs but also contribute positively to the environment. With a commitment to thoughtful design, Metis Practice is poised to transform visions into reality, fostering spaces that are not only architecturally stimulating but also creatively constructed for the well-being of all.
Analogue Lab
Metis - Analogue Lab is a dedicated darkroom/dimroom for exploring historical alternative photographic printing processes since 2012. Self-taught in techniques like Cyanotype and Gum Bi-Chromate Printing, Vrinda has expanded her skills to include Van-Dyke Brown Printing, Salt Printing, Albumen Printing, Anthotype and Soil Chromatography through various workshops. Fully equipped for these processes, the Analogue Lab provides a space for self-learning and practice. The space is available for rent and guided instruction through workshops for individuals or smalls groups.

Metis Practice incorporates the processes and skills from the lab into its projects through drawings, prints, and other methods.
